A Message from the President

Friends,
“Remember and respect our enduring Heritage.” That’s the last line of AFA’s mission statement and it is an element that sometimes gets lost in our focus on the future. Just two weeks ago, as we cut the ribbon to celebrate the official opening of our new headquarters in Pentagon City, we did both: We toasted the past by remembering the 83rd anniversary of Jimmy Doolittle’s daring raid on Tokyo and we looked to the future as we launch a new era for our Association.
Both Chief of Space Operations Gen. B. Chance Saltzman and Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Allvin took part in a flawless and moving ceremony that we livestreamed to AFA Chapters and Air Force Wings and Squadrons around the world. Inspired by the spirit of the Doolittle Raiders, we are full-throttle on our mission and wasting no time in putting our new facilities to use. Check out the busy schedule.
We’re also inspired by growing connections in the Field. Thank you to the hundreds who joined our Grand Opening & Doolittle Toast both in person and remotely. Together, we are making a difference.
