(Before the ceremony, the retiring President should make his report; then he or the Toastmaster introduces the Installing Officer - normally the Vice President or State President, depending on whether the officers to be installed are chapter level)

Will the following officers-elect come forward?

Have you officers acquainted yourself with the duties and responsibilities of the offices to which you have been elected?

INSTALLING OFFICER) President ___________,you and your fellow officers have assumed the responsibility of leading this unit of the Air Force Association in the furtherance of the aims and the purposes of the organization, as set forth in the constitution and by-laws.

Do you pledge to conduct yourself in accordance with this responsibility?

 

(RESPONSE) We do.

Acting for the Board of Directors of the Association, and for the officers and members of this unit, I charge you with the responsibility of protecting and preserving it; of acting always within its framework, and, at the conclusion of your term of office, of entrusting it to your successor.
